Content Based Navigation with Colour and Shape

چکیده

Hypermedia systems typically allow the user to navigate through information by following links from one point in a document to another, possibly in a different document. Often the link information is embedded in the documents themselves and documents containing links must be authored in a special language (e.g. HTML). Over the last few years the multimedia group has been developing an open architecture hypermedia system, Microcosm1, in which the link information is held in a separate linkbase and the documents remain in their native format. This not only has the attraction that links may be authored from read-only media such as CD-ROM but also enabled the introduction of two novel link facilities, generic links and computed links, which substantially reduce the effort of link authoring.
